The Story So Far

A year of stories, songs, discoveries, and growth.

The Perfect Places family gathered together

Dear friends and supporters,

Much of building an animated world happens quietly. A phrase finds its rhythm. A character begins to feel alive. A scene finally carries the warmth we hoped for. Over the past year, those small discoveries have begun to become a body of work.

Thank you for caring about what we are making, and about the children and families we hope to serve. I want to share a few chapters of that journey with you—not only what we have made, but what making it is teaching us.

01

Small phrases. Growing possibilities.

Alphabetic Alliteration

Alphabet lettering and antique printing blocks

How do we help a child hear language before learning begins to feel like work? Alphabetic Alliteration starts with something small: a phrase with a rhythm, a sound worth repeating, and a little room for delight.

With the help of ADVANCE 25, our collection of phrases has continued to grow. Each addition gives us another chance to explore how words, pictures, characters, and music can belong together. The challenge is to make the learning clear while keeping the experience playful.

This growing collection is helping us develop Mystic Melodies from an idea into material we can build upon. It offers another doorway into ANACOM—especially for younger children and families encountering English through play.

02

Learning to pause and begin again.

Setting Things Right

Blu with an open book and a pen

Blu wants to help. Yet good intentions do not always lead straight to a good result. Setting Things Right gives that familiar experience a small, gentle story: an effort, a muddle, and the possibility of another way forward.

For us, the creative challenge is much the same. We want virtue to be felt through a character’s experience. A pause, an expression, or a moment of guidance has to carry its share of the story.

This project adds an intimate entry point to the growing collection—a short story a family can watch together, then carry into a conversation about their own attempts to put things right.

Giving wisdom a voice.

Wisdom Calling Out

Wisdom is easy to name and harder to make inviting. Wisdom Calling Out brings that challenge into focus: how can an idea become something we want to listen to, consider, and remember?

It is part of our continuing exploration of music and story as carriers of meaning. We are learning to ask more of every creative choice: does it help the listener draw closer, and does it leave room for discovery?

Alongside the other projects, it gives another expression to a central ANACOM hope—that wisdom can become a welcome companion in everyday life.

04

Love must become visible.

Love is the Victor

Friends flying together through the palace

A song can declare that love wins. The picture must show us how. Love is the Victor gives us a glimpse behind the veil. Love does not fight with the same weapons. Love does not use money, fear, or force. Instead it asks us to stand, face evil, and pray.

The music video focuses on three of the orphans from Rescue & Restore, and expands their story. As these characters encounter wisdom, they discover a greater understanding of what it means to love, and their example makes true love a bit more tangible.

The finished music video gives people another way to encounter the heart behind Perfect Places. A song can be shared on its own, and can invite someone to discover the wider story.

One call. Many answers.

A World Worth Building

The palace courtyard and its extraordinary sphere

A bell rings, a kingdom wakes, and a shared work begins. Bringing A World Worth Building together meant bringing many characters, places, and small acts into one connected experience.

The journey to completion required choices, revisions, and the willingness to finish while still seeing what could become better. Some performances and voices have not yet reached everything I imagine. But the film is complete, it is released, and its lessons now belong to the next project.

Premiering on September 24, it brings our growing world into a single invitation: what might become possible when each person contributes what only they can give? It is a new meeting place for our characters—and a substantial piece of work we can now share with you.

The work behind the work

Giving the world a memory.

As the collection grows, so does the need for consistency. A character must still feel like the same character from one scene to the next. Proportions, gestures, clothing, environments, and the meaning behind them all need somewhere to live beyond a single image or one person’s memory.

We are building a production bible to gather that knowledge: a shared reference for the world and a foundation for better workflows. The aim is to make future collaboration clearer, preserve what we have already learned, and spend less time solving the same problems again.

At the same time, our tools keep changing. We are constantly adapting, testing what helps, and learning where closer artistic direction is needed. The measure is the experience on screen: can a viewer stay inside the moment, connected to the character and the story?

07

More ways to enter

Opening the doors a little wider.

Each project gives someone a different reason to arrive: a playful phrase, a quiet story, a song, or a whole world coming to life. Our website now brings these invitations together, with film pages, moving previews, and introductions to the characters.

We are also learning how to bring moments from the films into the places people already discover and share things. This is how we are working to extend our reach: by giving the work more opportunities to meet people, then learning what helps them connect.

There is more to prove, and more to learn. We want growth to mean more than producing another piece. We want the work to become more coherent, more moving, and easier for a family to return to.

Words we return to

“We kindle wonder.”

Each week, we read our ANACOM Creed aloud. It brings us back to what we hope to cultivate: wisdom and virtue, harmony among families, service, flourishing communities, and blessing for future generations.

We invite you to join us in these proclamations. Read the creed aloud with us, wherever you are. Let a line become a question for the week: what would it look like to put these words into practice?

The next chapter

What is on the horizon?

Our next steps are both creative and practical. We will continue developing Alphabetic Alliteration, complete more of the character lineup and 360-degree animations, and deepen the shared references that help the work hold together.

Through our ADVANCE trailer project, we will develop more of Perfect Places—material that can also become a new window into that world on the website. Small visual signposts are planned too, helping visitors recognize music videos and find something to watch with family.

We are building toward a steadier rhythm of production, with care for the quality of each story. There is no fixed release promise here; the task ahead is to strengthen the process and keep making work worthy of your time.

Thank you for walking alongside us as this world grows. If a story or song has stayed with you, sharing it with one family is a meaningful way to help it travel.

With gratitude,
Graham
